Roots (The First Shaman)

Introduction

This concept is based on the principle that the first healer, before any sangoma or any other African healer, was the natural forest, mother nature was here before us as a species, and contained in its methods to cure us from illnesses and anguish, both physical, mental, and spiritual. Psychedelic plant medicine was used by our ancestors to communicate with those who were no longer in the physical realm, for divination and diagnosis, healing rituals and cleansing, initiation and training of other healers, amongst many other purposes. In essence, traditional African healers used psychedelics as tools of vision, healing, communication, and spiritual alignment – not to escape reality but to understand it more deeply. Roots (the first shaman) is an event inspired by African spirituality, psychedelic medicine, and the healing power of sound. Using deep tribal rhythms, electronic frequencies from the plants themselves, and a ritual-like atmosphere, it reconnects participants with ancestral knowledge and inner consciousness. Music becomes a form of medicine, guiding people through a journey of release, awakening, and spiritual transcendence. This medicine is used to clear an individual’s mind of all social constructs and creates an experience called ego death, which is the loss of who the world has made you become. This, therefore, creates room for absolute clarity and oneness with the earth.

Traditional African healers have long reached psychedelic-like states without plant medicine. Through deep drumming, chanting, breathwork, and dance they shift brain and body rhythms into trance, unlocking visions, healing insight, and ancestral communication. These natural techniques-rooted in sound movement, and vibration, awaken altered consciousness from within, proving that spiritual ecstasy and connection to higher realms can be achieved through pure energy, surroundings, and ritual, not substance. I say this because the substances are illegal in most places around the world and the backstory is purely for educational purposes. We are a company that respects and abides by the law of the land we operate in, and therefore do not encourage the use of illegal substances at any gathering. This is ancient history and was performed by traditional healers and experts in that sector therefore creating a gap between the common man and an ancient professional healer implying that some of these techniques require a very intense know how, which most people do not have and we would not want to put our community at risk and we would not allow or tolerate breaking of the law of the land we are operating in.

In the case of Roots (The first shaman), we use sound frequencies to achieve a spiritual ecstasy and trance-like state, like the ancient African healer would use plant medicine.

The event will consist of sound literally created by the energy and frequency that these plants produce, therefore creating a ceremonial gathering. The sound is a tool to heal and guide all while connecting with everything and everyone around you.

The concept of bio-frequencies is a rather complex and intriguing phenomenon that we intend to teach and guide throughout the event.

The plan for the event is for it to take place during the daytime deep in nature, allowing individuals to get the full experience and connect with their ancestors and The First Shama, which is Mother Nature, all that belongs to it, including creatures, rocks, and all matter that occupies space in the earth, both in the seen and unseen realm.

The event will take place from 12:00 mid day to 6:30 PM
